CDW Sales Manager Assistant in Chicago, Illinois


The Sales Manager Assistant offers support to senior and management level leadership. The role is responsible for assisting in all administrative tasks within the K-12 Sales team. The SMA creates, implements and improves reports, as well as improves processes within the department.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Compile and distribute daily, weekly and monthly team sales reports

  • Manage CTMS; acting as management proxy

  • Manage Sales Leaders’ shared outlook calendars

  • Work on special projects assigned by the Sales Leaders

  • Update account moves, via Mass upload and AS400

  • Order supplies such as; toner, business cards, etc.

  • Complete manager initiated scrub lists

  • Coordinate invites for team outings and meetings

  • Create/Approve travel for sales team and sales direct reports


  • Create Fed Ex packing slips

  • Reserves and sets up meeting rooms and conference call lines

  • Assists with sales presentations; using PowerPoint


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • 1 year experience in one or more of the following capacities: Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task

  • Flexibility, adaptability and an optimistic view of projects and work environment
