The Global Business Continuity and Security Manager will develop and oversee the global business continuity and crisis management efforts within the organization. The position also oversees and maintains all operations within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) including emergency operations and communications, travel security and safety, crisis management and business continuity, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and other security/safety related systems for all CDW facilities, including globally. This role manages GSOC analysts; and Electronic Security Analyst. This position will report directly to the Director of Global Security, Safety, and Business Continuity.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Oversee the GSOC team to help ensure that team members are properly trained and are effectively monitoring and responding to all electronic security and safety systems.
Provide oversight and incident command leadership on all emergency operations including emergency response and business continuity plans.
Identify and communicate all critical security, safety, crisis, and business continuity matters to the attention of business leaders including the Business Leadership Team, Business Continuity Team, and Executive Committee (EC) members.
Develop and lead an intelligence program to support the safety of our coworkers, assets, infrastructure, & intellectual property before, during and after a business interruption.
Provide travel safety and security assessments and Direction for Coworkers as they travel Globally
Create and manage the emergency preparedness and business continuity programs and crisis communication for the enterprise
Lead the process of identifying the need for new technologies and the upgrade of current security standards internationally.
Support global investigative efforts.
Develop and lead business continuity, security, and safety training and awareness programs for all levels of the organization.
Create policies and procedures to address the international Business Continuity plans.
Manage the department’s engagement with other departments such as real estate, facilities, and merger and acquisition in their security technology needs.
Conduct security and crisis risk assessments globally.
Support Company event/meetings security and safety direction and coordination.
Manage crisis and business continuity partners internationally.
Support executive protection and travel efforts.
Develop a crisis management and business continuity notification protocols.
Support supply chain security support and tracking protocols.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5 years of experience leading global business continuity programs
2 years’ experience managing others
Other Required Qualifications
Experience leading a global organization through natural disasters and crisis events
Experience creating and launching emergency preparedness programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership.
Prior experience with research/analysis
Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
Calm under pressure and resilient when faced with change in direction or challenges.
Strong team player
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
